What documents do we need?

1) Passport copy

2) Proof of ownership / sale agreement

3) Copy of Builder’s certificate

4) Deletion certificate (If applicable)

5) Suggest a Vessel name (We will check the availability)

6) Tonnage certificate (Once the Vessel name is confirmed, you would need to get the tonnage survey done by one of the authorized surveyors)

7) Company formation document

Once the Registry has approved the required papers, official marking guidelines will be released. The boat must be marked with the following information: the official number (given by the Registry), or gross tonnage, the boat's name, and the port of registry.

The Registrar will schedule an inspection if the ship is in Guernsey when the marking is complete. If not, you must provide the Register with photographic confirmation.

If the Registrar is convinced that the yacht has been marked in accordance with Registry regulations, the Certificate of British Registry, also known as the "blue book," will be provided.
